Trophy for MCC Challenge Tennis Prize or Silver Racquet prize. Dish shaped trophy with tooled lines around stem MCC monogram, crown and number 5 and 6 engraved around upright rim. Fixed to a black ebonized round pedestal on a square base. The successive winners of the prize are inscribed plaques around the pedestal and on one side of the base. Each plaque has a separate maker and date mark. There is also a round silver collar at the base of the pedestal. On three sides of the base are Challenge Tennis Prize medals, all won by R Aird, 1933, 1939 and 1947.
