Three quarter length, frontal portrait of an older gentleman with grey hair and moustache. He is wearing a dark suit with jacket, trousers and waistcoat. A chain from a Fob watch can be seen on his waistcoat. His right hand on his knee and his left hand in trouser pocket.

He was also President of the Middlesex C.C.C. 1922-36.
His major team were England, Middlesex (Captain
1884-98) and Oxford University (Captain 1877-78). He
was one of the amateurs to tour Australia with Lord
Harris, and it was on this tour that he played in his one
and only Test.
