Spliced cane handle, twined. Double sprung (perpendicular springs). Red rubber grip. Straight blade, distinct swell. Worn toe. Maker’s marks to face, reverse, head of handle and grip. Silver plaque on reverse. Ink inscription to face.
Used by Gilbert Laird Jessop, to score 104 in England's second innings against Australia, August 13th, 1902. His 104 were made in 75 minutes out of a total of 139, paving the way for victory.
