Beer jug or jack, probably of James Aylward of Hambledon, 1775, the great 18th century batsman. English leather, black, made of three sections stiched together, with an oval base. Decoration: incised on sides (1) the intitials J.A., (2) outline of a curved bat, (3) the date, 1775.
