This railway semaphore signal was the last of its type in use at a London Terminal. It was removed from Marylebone when the station was resignalled in October 1990 and presented to Lt Col Stephenson, OBE, Secretary of the MCC, by Network SouthEast, Thames and Chiltern on Wednesday, 14 November 1990. The MCC successfullu opposed the construction of the line to Marylebone in 1891, but later withdrew their objections when the promise of tunnels under the 'hallowed turf' were given.
