Replica of Kim's Gun or the Zamzama Gun, a 9 1/2 bore cannon which was manufactured in 1757 and placed outside the entrance of Lahore Museum in 1870. Cannon on wheels with two piles of cannon balls. Enameled Pakistan flag below front. Ona rectangular base with engraved floral designs. Four panels - Inscriptions: ‘Presented by Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan’; Pakistan Cricket Team England Tour 1974’; ‘Kim’s Gun Manufactured 1757 14ft 4 ½ “ in length Aperture of the bore 91/2” Placed outside the entrance of Lahore Museum in 1870’; Final panel has a list of team names
Miniature replica of Kim's Gun
Replica of ‘Zamzama’, a 9 1/2 bore cannon which was manufactured in 1757 and placed outside the entrance of Lahore Museum in 1870. It famously featured in the opening chapter of Rudyard Kipling’s Kim in which the eponymous hero sat astride it ‘in defiance of municipal orders’.
