Set of eleven mats, of well known cricketers, 1890, (late Victorian). Silk, green, handpainted over transfers, in natural colours, with ivory fringe. Design: each mat features the portrait of a well known cricketer in action on the pitch; there being nine batsman, one bowler and one wicket keeper.
