The highlight of M.C.C.’s bicentenary celebrations was this five-day match featuring many of the greatest cricketers of their generation. Although not a Test match, the best performances were featured on the Test match honours boards in the Pavilion dressing rooms. Gordon Greenidge scored 122 in the second innings for M.C.C. and thus became the only player to feature on both the home and away honours boards.
