Dark red ball with two round, silver plaques. With this ball Dr W.G. Grace scored his hundredth century in first class cricket, May 17th 1895. 288 for Gloucestershire vs. Somerset.
Ball with which W G Grace scored his hundredth century, 1895
This ball was in use when Grace competed his 100th first-class century while playing for Gloucestershire versus Somerset at Bristol on May 17 1895. He was the first cricketer ever to accomplish this feat, which was not matched until 1913.
