Baggy Green Australian cap worn by William ‘Bill’ Johnston. Green flannel with black lining. Embroidered Australian crest (shield in blue, yellow, white and red supported by a kangaroo and an emu, surmounted by a rising sun). Red scroll below ‘Australia, 1953’. On the black lining is a label: Simpson, Piccadilly. Inscribed in ink on it is the word: Australia.
