Full length, triple portrait of three men seated in Lord’s Pavilion Long Room. From left: Barry Richards, Clive Lloyd and Richard Hadlee. Richards wears a blue blazer and leans against the table. Lloyd wears a maroon West Indies blazer and is seated on a Long Room high chair. Hadlee wears a blue blazer and sits on a Windsor chair. Five men visible in the background. Painted by self taught artist realist artist Andrew Festing.
Festing took up portrait painting while serving as an
Officer in the Rifle Brigade and continued to practice
while working for Sotheby’s from 1969-1981, managing
its Picture Department from 1977. He took up full time
portrait work in 1981. His subjects have included Her
Majesty the Queen, Betty Boo
throyd and the staff of
Holkham Hall, Norfolk.
