Small box containing 38 safety matches. Image on front of a bowler wearing braces, black shoes, bowtie and top hat. In the background is a thin tree, and the old pavilion and tennis court or Tavern at Lord’s. Possibly a picture of Hillyer after J C Anderson. Maker’s mane and contents on outer edge. ‘The Tavern’ and address below.
