Signed Dickie Bird umpire's cap from his last Test Match England v India at Lord's 20-24th June 1996,
signed in black marker pen and inscribed BEST WISHES, mounted in a shallow box frame with colour portrait photograph of Dickie Bird and a title plaque, 65 by 50 by 6cm.; sold with a certificate of authenticity from the Chairman of the David Nash Benefit Year
This cap was bought at an auction held during the Benefit Year of the Middlesex CCC cricketer David Nash.
The curtain came down on Dickie Bird's Test Match umpiring career in the England v India Test at Lord's in 1996. His final wicket decision was adjudging Jack Russell out lbw from the bowling of Sourav Ganguly.
