An aerial view of Eden Park in Auckland by MCC Young Artist of the Year Nancy Bixby.
Bixby, an art graduate from the Ruskin School of Art, was commissioned by MCC to document the 2001-2 England tour to New Zealand. Travelling with the team she recorded players and the surrounding area.
Primarily influenced by Impressionism, a style characterised by broken brushstrokes and a luminous colour palette, Bixby focuses on fantastic colour combinations created by pronounced pitch marks from the ball caused by early dampness.
