Reverse: Quatrain/poem by E V Lucas: ‘A hundred years and fifty pass, Yet still upon Lord's primal grass Is waged the finest war of all: The conflict of the Bat and Ball.’ Engraved on base: Designed by Barnaby Powell, made at the Whitefriars Glass Works and engraved specially by William Wilson for the MCC 1937.
