Official, navy blue blazer with red, yellow and green braiding on all edges. Mid-brown lining. Raised wire tour emblem (image of world flanked by two palm trees, lion and kangaroo) to chest. 'Commonwealth Cricket Team' and 'India 1953-54'.
Reginald Thomas Simpson. Nottinghamshire & England 1946-1963. 'Commonwealth Silver Jubilee XI tour of India 1953'. Official dark blue blazer worn by Simpson on the tour of India with impressive raised wire tour emblem to chest and 'Commonwealth Cricket Team' above and 'India 1953-54' and colourful braiding in red, yellow and green to blazer extremities, sleeves and pockets. Some wear to braiding and odd moth hole otherwise in good condition. Obtained by the vendor at an auction in London in the 1990's
