An historical photograph, taken in 1901, of three prominet cricket players from the Aligarh University. Sitting on the left is Khan Mohammad Abdullah, who led the Aligarh in 1895. Mr. Abdullah is highly respected as one of the pioneers in promoting cricket in Uttar Pradesh, India. Sitting next to him is Aley Hassan, who led the University cricket team in 1901. Standing in the background is Malauna Shaukat Ali, who later became famous as one of the "Alid Brothers" of the Pakistan movement.
