Description
Left shoe with white, synthetic leather and mesh upper. Textile lining with mesh insole. Laced with central loop, four loops and a metal eyelet. Leather heel tab. Seven Adidas studs on sole. 'Adidas' logo on heel and toe. 'Climacool' logo on tongue. Seven metal studs on sole. Player signature on outer edge and '22.9.07'. Resoled with black rubber sole under studs and black, pointed dimpled rubber heel.

M.2013.26.229 Adidas ‘Climacool’ Cricket Boot of Chris Adams
This is another example of re-soling and a trainer-style boot adapted for cricket use. It is made from very lightweight, synthetic material with a specialised foot cooling system that would be used with the player’s custom made, orthotic inserts. Companies such as ‘Bill and Jane' in London and ‘Fast Bowlers United' (set up by Joey Dawes and Ashley Noffke) in Australia specialised in stud or sprig configuration specific to each player’s preference.
