Description
The letter has been mounted on a thin card backing. It is a hand written letter on a beige colored piece of paper. The letter is torn in several places.
The contnet of the letter is:
'Crookham // June 18th 1911 // Mr Buckingham // Dear Sir // We the undersigned beg you will kindly accept this clock – made from an oak beam taken from David Harris’ cottage in Crookham Street – as a small token of appreciation of your kindness and zeal in working local cricket. We thought you would like it for associations such as a souvenir of the Home of Crookham greatest cricketers, whose prowess in the field and whose character we know you so much admire.'
