Description
Large personal scrapbook belonging to Gilligan commemorating the tour under Lionel Tennyson captaincy with additional material from the 1929/30 tour of Australia and New Zealand under Gilligan's captaincy. Contains a large collection of ephemera from the tour including photographs, menus, match programmes, match tickets, letters, itinerary listing financial guarentees, invitations, fixture cards, postcards, telegrams, press cuttings etc.
This scrapbook belong to and was collected by Harold Gilligan on his captaincy tour to New Zealand in 1929/30. It contains newspaper cuttings of the teams visit to New Zealand, as well as photographs and other epherema associated with that tour including autographs and ticket stubs.
