Description
Round pin badge with blue, gold and green design. Dark blue scalloped edges encircling two gold coloured cricket bats and wickets on a patch of green grass inscribed with words referring to wounded soldiers at the beginning of the First World War.
Tribute badges such as this were sold to raise money for soldiers wounded in the First World War. Cricket continued to be played during the war, often in aid of charity, and attracted royal spectators along with a galaxy of political and military notables.
