Description
Second Army Cricket Eleven, (Twenty-first Army Group), flag. Rectangular flag consisting of two red stripes with a central black stripe. In the centre is an appliquéd White shield with a yellow sword on a pale blue cross (see note). This flag was used at the two matches, June 27th and 28th, and June 29th, 1945; when the Second Army Cricket Eleven played Sir Pelham Warner's eleven at Lord's. The match was attended by the Army's Commander Lieutenant-General Sir M.C. Dempsey.
