Description
Set of twelve gold coloured MCC buttons in two sizes mounted on velvet in a blue leather presentation case with cream silk lining.
A set of MCC buttons taken from a die dated 1858, the property of Messrs. Firmin & Sons, Ltd., 8 Cork Street, W.1. It is believed that these buttons were worn by members on a cinnamon coloured swallow-tailed coat, and also on blazers up to about 1889. These buttons were still obtainable in 1937 from Messrs. Firmin & Sons.
