One of the early cricket teams of the Sub Continent, Aligarh University and Rawalpindi Club, photographed at a friendly cricket match at Rawalpindi Club Cricket Ground in 1936. Aligarh's team captain, Zaheer-ud-Din and Rawalpindi Club Team Captain, Mehta are sitting fourth and fifth from the left respectively. Fazal Elahi, standing second from left, represented Northern Zone in their match against MCC, when they first ever toured the Sub Continent in 1926. Baghat Ram Talwar, standing first from left (smoking a pipe) was one of the pioneers in promoting cricket in Rawalpindi.
