Marylebone Cricket Club, pillbox cap, of G.C. Ives, c.1888. Facecloth, red, with yellow braid and gilt cord. Lined with quilted cotton. No peak, elastic chin-strap. Decoration: on top around the central button, is an eight loop figure in braid. Around the sides of the 'pillbox' are two rows of braid. Badge: 'gold' M.C.C. monogram attached to the front has the first C reversed.
