Descripción
Wavy, rimmed plate. Royal blue and gold on white ground, recording the 100 centuries of W G Grace, with his facsimile signature in the centre.
Almost certainly commissioned by Grace for a dinner given by him to 17 members of the Century Club in Bristol, January 1896, in return for the Club’s dinner in this honour in June 189. On the reverse is a table plan of the 18 diners, each of whom retained a plate.
Purchased from a nephew of the Chair of the earlier dinner
