Real Tennis ball, (sometimes called Jeu de Paume) - American, U.S.A., bisected. Up to 1954. (Ball Display). Interior only, consisting of a core of cement sealed with cotton and a winding of silk thread. These balls were completed with an outer cover of wool nap which in this case is missing.

American Court Tennis Ball. The core is made of cotton and cement and the outside winding is of silk thread.
