Right boot, with white, synthetic leather uppers with blue overlapping trim, padded at ankle. Rubber, moulded ‘Gel’ sole. Laced with six eyelets, and two Velcro straps. Four ‘Asics’ studs in heel and seven in sole. Heel signed by player.

M.04.16 Asics Cricket Boot of Darren Gough, ICC Champions Trophy, 2004
This style of bowling boot shows extra support around the ankle, use of lightweight materials and a generous sole to cushion the impact of the foot on the ground. Additionally the toe of the boot has been removed by Gough, a modification made by several of his contemporaries to avoid the pain caused by their toes repeatedly hitting the front of the boot.
