Order of the British Empire medal. Blue enamelled cross topped with gold crown on red and grey ribbon. Centre roundel with motto 'FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE'. Also black leather box with silk lining; instruction card; length of red and grey ribbon and miniature medal.
Alec Bedser was awarded the OBE for his services to cricket in 1964.
