Model of Viking ship, one of a pair, (other has a later accession number). Presented to the MCC to commemorate their match with the Dansk Boldspiel Union, at Copenhagen in 1950. Single-mast boat with dragon head prow, Celtic knot work decoration and curled tail stern. Large sail with spread-eagle bird. Round shields along gunwales. Inscription on hull: Cricketkampen. D.B.U. - M.C.C. Kobenhavn Den 19 og 20 August, 1950. Maker’s mark on rudder. Wooden stand.
