Oval-shaped ceramic plaque depicting a player in the moment before the ball has been hit, bat held high;in the background a partial stand has been shown with seated spectators, while next to this, other viewers stand behind a white railing with trees and blue sky landscape behind. The picture has a Classical laurel wreath motif picked out in gold and black around the oval. The plaque is edged in powder blue with a small rim.
