Description
Full length portrait of a bearded man sitting at a desk. Marble fireplace with clock and all year calendar in the background. Possibly with desk currently in Library. Cane basket in foreground. MCC secretary from 1876 for 21 years.
Display caption
Henry Perkins - Played for Royston, Cambridge County Club, Cambridgeshire in the 1850's and 60's. Was secretary of the Cambridge County Club which organised several Cambridgeshire matches in the 1860's, for which he was generally captain. He went on to be secretary for the MCC.
