Navy blue blazer with light blue lining. Embroidered with a Red Rose of Lancaster, green stem and leaves on the breast pocket, the badge for Lancashire CCC.
Display caption
Cyril Washbrook was a solid, dependable cricketer and Len Hutton’s reliable opening partner for England after the second world war. The very antithesis of the modern celebrity cricketer, his foray into publishing was less successful than most. Cyril Washbrook’s Cricket Annual appeared in 1949 for the first, and last, time.
