Spokeshave, wood body consisting of two, narrow pieces of wood held together with three screws, with flat blade held in between. brass plate screw on below blade, presumably to prevent wear. Used by Leornard Dowse to make cricket bats. Used for smoothing wood after shoulders and blade have been shaped with a draw knife.
