Printed on label at back: SS. This Bat is made from the finest Willow and hand finished by Craftsmen. A new Bat requires one Coat of Specially Prepared Bat Oil or Raw Linseed Oil. Apply to the blade with a soft rag (not Handle or Grip). Give a further two or three light coats to face, edges and toe only, at intervals of a few days, leaving in a horizontal position. When necessary clean with fine sandpaper and wipe with an oily rag. A Stuart Surridge Product. Autographed on back: England and South Africa teams.
