Description
White, Royal Worcester, bone china bowl with gold rim and foot and border of oval images. Transfer print images in black and sepia brown. Interior: Father Time, MCC monogram, silhouette of Thomas Lord and England/MCC crest of St. George and the dragon. Border of oak leaves and gold acorns, a traditional Worcester design; base showing contemporary view of match in progress, with Warner Stand behind. Exterior: Two oval vignettes, early image of ground with simple pavilion and reproduction of The Imaginary Cricket Match; Two similar images one with crossed bats, ball, stumps and top hat within a wreath ‘1814’ below, the other with cap and ‘’1964’ below.
