Description
Small, straight sided jug with angular, strap handle. Moulded neck and retracted foot. Thin gold band around rim, root and along handle. Originally recorded as Yorkshire pottery, c 1925. Transfer print, photographic image of ‘Herbert Sutcliffe’, wearing a Yorkshire cap. Taken from a Sports & General photo. Crossed bats, stumps and ball image on reverse. Maker’s mark on base: ‘Made in England’. Originally sold as a jam jar.(unverified)
