United All England Eleven and M.C.C. brass clasp; blue and grey webbing. Design: on either side of the clasp is attached a figure in relief - a fielder and a batsman in action. On the left half where it extends to cover the central articulation are impressed crossed penants bearing the initials U.A.E. and M.C.C. and a wicket and ball motif. Backstamp on either half: Eade London; also a lozenge-shaped registration mark giveing the date: 19th January, 1857. (in code).
