Decorated stoneware plate pertaining to Teignbridge Cricket Club, (pre-1914 when club was disbanded). 'Conchology', white underglaze, slightly indented rim. Decoration: in green, centre: simulated doyley with scalloped edge in the centre of which is the inscription: Teign-bridge/Cricket Club/Established/1823. On rim: all over pattern of small C-shaped device, edged with line. Stamp on base: a conch shell, inscribed: Conchology/Stone Ware. (trade mark); the initial D.
