Half length, three quarter turned, seated portrait of Griffith at a desk at Lord’s Ground. Wearing a green MCC touring tie with a narrow yellow stripe and white motif. North Clock tower and a cricket match seen through the window.

Portrait of former MCC Secretary 1962 – 1974 by British
portrait artist Josephine Aveline (1914-1990). Before the
War he toured Australia and New Zealand with MCC.
During the war, served as an officer in the Glider Pilot
Regiment. After the war, he was captain and secretary of
Sussex. Following his retirement, he worked as cricket
correspondent of the Sunday Times for two years and
then one of two MCC assistant secretaries to Ronnie
Aird.
