Description
Doulton Lambeth, stoneware beaker. Caramel glaze with Art Nouveau floral decoration around rim and foot in blue-green glaze. Brown, ribbed strap handle.Three, white sprigged cricketers. Inspired by photographs by E. Hawkins and Company of S M J Woods (Bowler), M C Kemp (wicket keeper) and Wm Gunn (batsman). Published in Famous Cricketers and Cricket Grounds, 1895. Brown handle. Maker’s marks on base: RN 172; SOO; uu; Doulton Lambeth England, incised 2R [LR or 2B]
