Description
Cartoon of a large kangaroo looking at a tiny man appearing out of a pie. Pie marked ‘M.C.C.’ and stands on a tripod of cricket stumps. The man holds a bat and a cap marked ‘P.F.W’ and has a speech bubble saying “How about those Ashes?” Poem “Little Australia, Fearless of failure, Eating his Test Match Tart. He put in his thumb, When out popped a ‘Plum’ and gave him a terrible start.” Signed and dated lower right. Origin note, upper left: ‘pen and ink copy from ‘The Bystander’ Dec 1903’
