Profile portrait of former MCC 1902 President and
England captain Allan Gibson Steel wearing I Zingari tie.
Steel made the first Test hundred at Lord's, 148 leading
England to victory over Australia in 1884. Though not a
regular captain of county or country, he had some great
victories: Marlborough over Rugby, Cambridge over
Oxford, Gentlemen over Players and Lancashire over
Yorkshire.
