Description
Black rectangular trunk with metal clasps and locks. White lettering 'England Cricket Tour 1992-93' on one side, and 'J' on reverse, with faint lettering underneath. 'Tetley Bitter' decals, and 'Morrant' in red. British Airway's boarding tag reads 'LGW 21 April'. Also appears to have been used by Phil Defreitas and Andy Caddick due to previous labels and tickets
Pair of 'branded autograph' cheek guards found inside. Clear plastic with yellow foam and signature

The `cricket’ coffin grew in popularity from the late 1970s, probably in response to increased amounts of protective equipment. Their increasingly bulky and solid composition suited international air travel as well as sponsorship which pervaded the game by the turn of the century.
