Description
Ovoid bowl engraved with a cricket match and inscribed. Commemorative goblet of M.C.C. Jubilee Match at Lord's July 10th 1837. Crystal, square base. Decoration: engraved inscription: Jubilee Match at Lord's/ of the Marylebone Club/ July 10th 1837. On reverse: reproduction of an engraving of the North v South match played at Lord's on July 10th 1837; in oval, flanked by design of rose sprays.

This goblet was made at the Whitefriars Glassworks in London to mark MCC’s 150th anniversary. Its traditional design recalls the goblet in Thomas Henwood’s painting of ‘The Scorer’
