- DescriptionAustralian cap worn by Victor Trumper in England. 1909. Recently dated to 1910-11. Due to coat of arms. (ALC) However, accession registers state this was donated by Mrs Trumper, and it and the accompanying blazer were worn in England in 1909. Green flannel. Eight panels with button top. Very small peak. Badge: Australian crest, wire work/silver thread and embroidery. Emu and kangaroo supporting a shield (blue, white and red ground, cross in centre, five stars) surmounted by a rising sun. A scroll below ‘Advance Australia’. The emu and kangaroo are reversed on this badge compared with other caps Index Card states see also M.70.49
