Lithograph. Hand-coloured print, landscape, mounted on white card with a black frame that has ornate gold on the inner and outer rims. The scene shows a view of the school with grounds and a grand drive before it, in partial sunlight; in the foreground pupils are shown taking part in various activities on the grass - one young boy has a cricket bat, another hold hoops - older pupils stand talking and a young boy holds up a piece of paper to the Headmaster who stands errect in black uniform and cap. Smoke is shown wafting out of one of the chimneys and sky with clouds in the background. Printed below the image is written: 'Published November 11th 1835 by J. Robins and Sons. To the Warden and Governers of the Free Grammar School of Queen Elizabeth of the Parishes of St Olave and and St John, Southwark. This view of the school recently erected in Bermondsey Street, is inscribed by their obedient humble Servants.'
