Black and white photograph from the front cover of 'The Tatler' Magazine (March 16, 1927) showing The Honourable Sir F. S. and Lady Jackson at Victoria before they left for India. Sir Jackson is the Governer-elect of Bengal and information about him is printed in the paragraph below his picture. He wears a bowler hat, suit and coat and carries an umbrella; Lady Jackson looks straight ahead, clutching her handbag and wearing a coat with fur trim and flowers pinned to one side, she also wears a hat. 'In the autumn of 1926 he was appointed Governer Designate of Bengal, and thefefore, had to resign his post as Chairman of the Conservative Party Organisation. The honour of the G. C. I. E. was later conferred upon him by His Majesty, and he left England last March to take up his new duties. On his departure, there was a wonderful gathering of old friends at the railway station, to give him a good send-off.'
