1 33 RPM Record, 'John Arlott Talks Cricket'. The record was manufactured by Charisma Records and produced by David Rayvern Allen. The script was written by L T J Arlott. The record's sleeve contains a letter from the Secretary of MCC (J A Bailey) to Charisma Records thanking them for donating the record to MCC, a press release for the record, reproductions of paintings by Ralph Steadman of Arlott, C B Fry, J C Laker, J B Hobbs and Herbert Sutcliffe and a photograph of J B Hobbs selecting willow for a cricket bat in 1922 on the reverse of the sleeve.
Side One is 22 minutes 33 seconds long. Arlott talks about his early memories of cricket, watching cricket at May's Bounty at Basingstoke, memories of watching Hampshire and seeing Hampshire play the West Indies in 1928, memories of travelling to London to watch cricket, and his memories of Lord Harris, C P Mead, L H Tennyson, George Brown and Herbert Strudwick.
Side Two is 24 minutes 40 seconds long. Arlott talks about C P Mead, J C Laker, J B Hobbs, Herbert Sutcliffe and C B Fry.
