Side 2: [0:00-18:15] Birkett makes a speech at a dinner to Alec Bedser titled 'Cricketers Everywhere' at the Dorchester Hotel, London, on 22 September 1960, paying tribute to Bedser, Viscount Monckton (who had spoken before him at the dinner) and D C S Compton and P B H May (both responded to Birkett's toast). AV/4/20), [18:15-26:40] Birkett makes a speech about William Shakespeare at the Shakespeare Birthday Luncheon at Stratford on Avon on 23 April 1938 (the speech was originally recorded by the BBC).
